I was raised in the heart of North Carolina, but my parents were from Trinidad, West Indies. Despite living so far from my cultural heritage, I was always fascinated by the food my parents cooked. When it came to cooking my biggest inspiration would be my mom. She taught me everything she knew, from the art of selecting the perfect ingredients to the science of cooking.
